Ryu (Child)

Well, I wanted to see what would happen with a black background, 1 layer and extremely sketchiness (to help practice thin hair strands).
This is the result:


Scratchy, and I never erased, just to see the effect. I kind of like it, it's a bit different, very dark. I might do a series of these (which will hopefully get better), but we'll begin with the often done 12-year-old Ryu and his traumatic experience of losing his mother.

I HAAAATE the wings on this though, there was no way to do them better without using more detail than the rest of the picture, and that would look odd. I do kinda like the color highlights, though.
